CCCB - Pastoral Letter on Debt Forgiveness (Jubilee 2025)

The Episcopal Commission for Justice and Peace of the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops (CCCB) has released a pastoral letter entitled Forgive us our Debts: Pastoral Letter on Debt Forgiveness in the Jubilee Year 2025.
The letter outlines the current debt crisis impacting many developing countries and calls on “our own government and private creditors in Canada to work with debtor nations to develop – and implement – effective frameworks for debt forgiveness in the spirit of the Jubilee Year.”
